Hey people

i hope everyone is well, anyway the point of this is that ive started my university course about a month and a bit ago, Computer and Video Games degree at Southampton Solent university and its pretty awesome for starters i went to euro gamers expo 2008 yesterday and omg some of the new games coming out are incredible and i got to play them My verdicts....

Call of Duty: World At War - this game is a hmm, if you love number 4 then you will love this because it has better maps just that the action is all the same nothing new to it really, all the animation and graphics are the same etc but none the less it was good

Killzone 2 - O M G probably the best FPS ive ever seen, this is truly a next gen FPS, the graphics are some of the best ive seen, if anyone saw the KZ 2 trailer, the graphics are actually that, and i mean the gameplay is so fluid everything works so well together its just brilliant, watch some videos on youtube because it truly blew me away.

LittleBig Planet - This game is just so fun, definitly my favourite there, its so cute and its so brilliant and different from any other game out there and so customisable, i just love the way that you can grab onto the other player and help them around the stage, its a revolutionary platformer, a nextgen one at that, its completely physics based and it works perfectly, definitly a must buy (NOVEMBER 5th 2008 EU)

Prince Of Persia - very very different from the others, but definitly next gen, the gauntlet on the hand allows so much variation with what is climbable, and the combat is brilliant, al thought i found that it was very segmented when you attack it seems like you attack, then pause for a bit then attack and etc. Also what i didnt like is that all tho the graphical style is very different, meant to be like concept art, it takes away the beauty of the world as its more like PS2 graphics than anything. Also what i didnt like is your companion seemed to save you from everything, when you fall off she just grabs you everytime, but none the less great game

Tomb Raider: Underworld - Very very impressed with this, im not the biggest fan of tomb raider but omg its so fluid and slick, runs so much better than any tomb raider ever and if you want virtual eye candy, this is your game, but the climbing and combat is similar to the other games, the physics and graphics have improved so much and just wow the action adverture and climbing of the game rivals assasins creed.

Gear of War 2 - BRILLIANT absolute, this was just wow, i loved it, although its basically the same as the first gears, there are so many more beatdowns and its just alot more action packed and in your face haha it was great, but the things is gears was always amazing the way it was its a brilliant game and is far more brutal. i played a 4 against 4 battle and my team won

Mirrors Edge - i really enjoyed this i really really did, its just the controls can sometimes be a bit clumbsy due to it being first person but apart from that the graphics are ace, the fighting is ace, and all the visual prompts of where to go are just amazing i loved it thats a definiate buy as well

Resident Evil 5 - LEGEND game. althought its resi 4 with upped graphics (the graphics are sweeeet) its great, i loved 4 i know somepeople didnt but i loved 4 and well the system with your companion works great and also its alot faster and more action packed, but as for what i played its brilliant, if you love resi 4 you will loove this even more.

Bionic Commando - very very annoying controls, thats the first thing that hit me, they are so clumbsy and its far to easy to die due to there being fall damage (the original has no fall damage) but the level and character design is amazing, you can go so high! the freedom is amazing and the gunplay is as well its just the hand combat sucks a tad, but apart from that its visually great i love it.

Resistance 2 - after playing killzone, this really didnt compare but for all the concent it has its a must by for ps3 owners because 2 full campaigns is crazy and its generally a great FPS, tbh i prefered it to COD:WAW because the new COD is just so generic because its not modern, and resistance 2 has great character and monster design and great weapons, its just a great game in my opinion, and its a brilliant co op game.

Fallout 3 - disappointment for me, it was more of a joke for me just shooting people in the head and finding out the concequence. in my opinion i didnt enjoy oblivion elder scrolls either so anyone who is a fan of fallout, you should give it a go because its better than fallout 1 and 2.

Street Fighter 4 - absolutely brilliant, much more of what we love! and the graphics are so amazing never seen anything like them before, its so slick and the animations and speed of the characters is amazing, its a must buy for a fighting game lover because this street fighter just kicks pure ass! what i loved the most what how there was so much impact with each punch made its just brilliant, it looks better on PS3 in HD tbh tho.

Banjo Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts - Very different from the original, tbh i didnt like it much because i was in a test level with no bloody idea or hints on what to do so i was confused so much, and i hate the new design on banjo and kazooie as well, but either way, i think it would be a good adventure game as RARE know how to wow the audience and tbh id buy it because the adverture essennse has been captured in the game.

Legendary - i thought this was very different, reminds me of bioshock with the left hand doing all the magical stuff, but i thought it was a very different and inspiring game because the character and level design is great. what i didnt like was that the frame rate was quite bad and also the combat was very much done in chunks, you attack, they attack you attack they attack but apart from that its a good game.

There was this gem of a game called Off-Road Velociraptor Safari and its just so fun its a freeware game under the indie games title and its just so fun, basically you run over velciraptors in your car and catch them on this ball and chain to throw in this portal but its just the ragdoll physics that make it so fun! everyone much play it!

Anyways this post was just to inform people of the new games that are good and great, but they will be out soon, well most of them will! either way this is also to say that im back

im glad to be back too.
